I just uploaded a new video on youtube. It's a cover of the song 'Kiss me' by Ed Sheeran. Yes.. i know i am in the bathroom again! Hope you don't mind. haha. It's just that everything sounds so much better in the bathroom.

TIME TO TALK ABOUT MUSIC // Caroline Glaser

I subscribed to Caroline Glaser a long time ago, because i thought she has such a unique and beautiful voice. The first time i saw a video of her, was when i was searching for a cover of the song 'I will wait' by momford & Sons. I saw this cover by the band The new Velvet and Caroline Glaser. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYVo8l7kACY I really liked the cover. Caroline's voice made me curious and i wanted to hear more of her. So i headed over to her channel and i subscribed immediately. 

Seeing this cover only confirms my opinion! She did an amazing job covering this song by the American Singer-songwriter Ray LaMontagne. You can listen to it all day long, and you won't get bored of it. I hope you like it as much as I do. Let me know if you like it. And if you do, subscribe to Caroline's channel, obviously :)

And ow. I just read that Caroline was at The Voice, which i didn't know. I hope she came far!

Dear no one - Tori Kelly (cover)

Heeello everybody,

I did a new cover. It's Tori Kelly's song 'Dear no one'. I saw Tori Kelly for the first time (not in real life of course :p) on the Ellen show. She performed her song there, just her voice and her guitar. I thought it was beautiful, and i could really relate to the lyrics.

Autumn photo's

Last week I turned 17 :) and I had one big wish, which i'd been wanting for quit a long time. And now i've got it!!! I have my camera :)

I have taken so many pictures since I got my camera. And as you probably know, the summer has said goodbye to us all, and autumn has arrived. I prefer the summer, but now I have my camera I love taking autumn pictures. So I took some pictures this afternoon of the beautiful autumn nature. And just to make clear, i am not a professional photographer. I just got a camera, so i am still practising with all the different options. Hope you enjoy the pictures!

I know you care!

I shared with you an Ellie Goulding song in my last blogpost, a song I love. This time i decided to cover one by myself. This is, again, such a beautiful song, and it's called 'I know you care'. Ellie has also donated this song to Save The Children campaign #song4syria. In the video of this campaign, you hear the song and you see pictures of innocent children in Syria. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tI1GR78A6yg&feature=youtu.be The video really made me think about the situation over there. On the people's faces you can see how incredibly scared and sad they are. Doesn't it gives you a horrible feeling that we can't do anything from here to help those people in Syria?? If i could, i would go to syria to play a song for them, give them big hugs and the feeling that there is a change that it will all get better! BUT, you CAN help, by downloading the song 'I know you care'on Itunes. 

I really hope the video of the Save the Children's campaign will get your attention as much as it got mine. And i hope you like my video! Enjoy :)

Lots of songs are really beautiful, but this song got me speechless. It is a song by Ellie Goulding; 'How long will I love you?' It gave me goosebumps straight away ;)

Music ~~ John Mayer

I've been a fan of John Mayer for a pretty long time now. But since his new album came out, I have been listening to his music Non-stop. All the songs on the album 'paradise valley' are so good! (apart from the fact that all his albums are amazing)

And i've always said that if he would come to The Netherlands i want to go to his concert. And that dream will come true! I am going to see him live in the Heineken Musical Hall in Amsterdam at october 24th. 

I want to share one of his songs with you, since it's one of my favourites :) It is not of his new album, but i love it though. Do you like it too?

Missing the london life!

Exactly 4 weeks ago I was busy with packing my bags and saying goodbye to everyone in London. And still now, i miss it so incredibly much ! The ways to school by train and underground every morning, the walks through lovely Roupell street, the EF school, the sunny days, sitting at jubilee gardens with a mango passion fruit from starbucks, shopping in regend street and oxford circus, hearing people speaking english, having the feeling that i'm a citizen of london. But what i miss the most are my friends! My whole trip woudn't have been so great without them. 

My father filmed me and my family and friends when i arrived at the airport in Amsterdam. I love that video! 

I am happy now, because i am probably going to my lovely Swiss friend Amélie in december :))

Friends for life

The EF schools are very international, that's the main reason why i like the school so much. I met so many cool people from all around the world, and they've became my best friends. I miss them so so much now! The problem is... they live so far away :( They are from Argentina, Portugal, Switserland, France, Czec Republic, and other countries. It's so cool to learn from their culture and language. For example my good friends from Buenos Aires teached me some Spanish :) I really like that language, and i hope to visit BA next year to study Spanish! That is one of the many trips I want to make in the future. I would love to visit every one i've met in London in their country :) 

Home sweet Home

I am at home! I arrived last sunday evening at schiphol airport in Amsterdam. My family and friends were there :)) it was good to see them again after three weeks! 

I am going to share all my experiences the next couple of weeks, because i haven't had that much time to do that while i was in London. Aaannndd.. I am going to Italy next friday for 2 weeks, so you'll see some posts about that lovely country also :) 

I want to thank EF for the best experience I've ever had! It was so cool to live as a citizen of London and meet people from all around the world. Thank you, x

I really thought that I would have more time to write for my blog, but i haven't.. Sorry for that!

Today was a long day, i had 4 lessons: two Ilab lessons and 2 General English lessons. At the Ilab lessons you have to work individualy, and you can decide to practice your grammar, vocabulary or you can watch a movie or the news at bbc. Today, i watched a few episodes of The Graham Norton Show :D I love that show, it is so funny! 

After my lessons, Luciana, Natalia, Amélie and I went to Oxford circus and we shopped a little bit :) I bought a dress for myself and a t-shirt for my sister! After we finfished shopping, we went back to school, where we met Tomás (portugal), Tom (France) , Quintin (France) and Erna (Czec Republic). 

At about 7:30 Amélie and I went home, for a lovely dinner :) 

2 days ago, i brought my guitar to central london. I went to the little park near by the london eye with Luciana, Amélie, Tomás, Natalia, Tom and Quintin. Tomás also plays the guitar :) Quintin and I sang a song at the street haha. I thought it was pretty scary, but it was fun! 

Last weekend, Amélie's sister, her boyfriend, Amélie and I went to East London to visit some markets :) It was so nice! I love east london :D I filmed a bit: 

Aaaaannddd the royal baby is born!! It was in all the newspapers. And if you have ever been to London, you know that everybody is reading the newspaper in the train. I've collected the newspapers haha 

I still can't believe i will leave next sunday... This whole journey has been so so so amazing! And i am so thankful that i've met so many amazing people :)

Already two weeks in London

Hello everybody!

I am already two weeks in London! The time has gone sooo incredibly fast :O There is only 1 week left. I really don't understand why i've decided to go 3 weeks instead of 5 or 6 :)

I want to write on my blog every day, but i know that it's impossible. I am so busy, and i don't always have the time to relax and write. But you have to know, that if I don't post anything, I am having fun!  Every day is different, but we're always having fun. The friends i've made here, will be my friends for life, and I will never forget them! 

I have said it quit often these days; "I don't want to leave next sunday!" And i really don't want to. I will miss the London life and all the amazing people so much. But i have to enjoy this last week, and that is what i am gonna do.

Tomorrow I will go to a premiere at Leicester Square:) And hopefully i will meet/see Johnny Depp!! That would be amazing.

Sunny London!

When people think about England, they think about a rainy country. I had the same! But now my vieuw has completely changed. It is sooo warm and sunny here! Every day the temperature is 30 degrees or higher. Especially the trains and undergrounds are too hot. But I won't complain, because it's finally summer :) 

It's Tuesday morning, and i just had breakfast. I am sitting on the balcony, with the nice morning sun :)

I have one lesson today, at 4:55 pm. :) so i have the whole day to do nice things.

I haven't told you yet what I did on Sunday and Monday. That's what I am going to do now:

SUNday

Sunday was a really sunny and hot day, again! Amélie and I were lazy in the morning haha. At approximately 12 we went to central London, where we shopped a bit :) There were no cars driving through Regend street. I don't know if it's every sunday like that, but it was cool. People were painting the ground. It was nice. 

We had lunch at Costa near by Oxford circus. 

At 4 pm, we met Luciana, Natalia and Tomás! I met Tomás (he is from Portugal) for the first time. It was cool, because i had been talking with him on Facebook for a long time. 

Luciana, Natalia, Tomás, Amelie and I went to Holland Park. I thought it was made by the Dutch people or something like that, but it wasn't haha! It was just a normal park, but a nice one!

Monday

On monday we had to be at school at 8:45. I had 4 lessons. 2 General english lessons, and two other classes. I was supposed to go to a certain class, but when i was there it was really easy. It sounds stupid, but they put me in the wrong class. So i went to the Academic office at school, and they changed it immediately :) and I could go to another class of my level. 

After school I met Amélie, Luli (luciana) and Nati (Natalia). We went to starbucks to buy some drinks and we walked to the london eye. Just sitting there, under the london eye, in the grass, was really relaxing. 

There was also a man playing on the guitar :)

Saturday july 13th.

Today was a really warm day!! Especially in the trains and the underground!

Me and Amelie were a bit lazy this morning. We were so tired of the very first week. That's why we stayed at home till 1 pm. 

We went to Covent Garden. I have already been there a few times, but i've never seen it so full of people :O We looked at all the little cute shops, and we had lunch there. We also got tattoos :D haha. not real ones! It is a Henna tattoo, and it stays about 2-3 weeks.  

After we went to Coven Garden, we went to Piccadilly circus with Violette (from Luxembourg). It was also very busy there! We went to a few shops, and... rampampam.... TOPSHOP! I loved topshop, and i have bought some nice things there :)

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in London

Goodmorning! Today (saturday july 13th) will be a hot day: 32 degrees. Me and Amelie will go to Coven Garden :)

Yesterday evening i didn't desribe how my other days in London have been, so i'm going to do that now.

Wednesday

On Wednesday we went to school. After school Amelie and me went to the accomodation office, they said that we could move that day. We were (and still are) reaaally happy! 

Amelie and me were waiting for the taxi to pick us up and bring us to the other house :)

Thursday

Thursday was Summeranza day!!!!! I have posted something about summeranza in the past, so if you don't know what it is you can check that out!

It was a really long day but really amazing. Here are some pictures and videos I made at Summeranza :

 I really like the Luminites! They were at Britains got talent, and i have seen their amazing youtube videos. I was reallt happy to see them life. Also Sky Blu from LMFAO was performing :) I want to post videos, but they're too big to post on my blog, i guess :/ So i only have some pictures for you.

Friday

Friday means the last day of school! But for me this was a long day, i had lots of free time between my lessons, so i bought a hot chocolat at starbucks and walked trhough the city :) 

I am looking forward to the next week! :)

First days in London!

Hello everybody!

I can finally relax, sit with my computer and write for my blog :) This week has been incredibly busy. I have done soooo many amazing things! 

Sunday july 7

I was a bit nervous at sunday morning. It was the Big day! I had to be at the airport around 12, because my plane left at 2 pm. I booked my flight with ef, so i travelled with a big group with ef students, Everyone went went to another ef destination in the UK. 

Everyone who knows me, knows that i am afraid of flying. But this time, the first time i travelled alone, was good! I have to admit that i was scared, but when i was at the airplane i was pretty relaxed :)

When i landed at Gatwick London, a man brought me and three other dutch girls to our hostfamilies in London. I was really happy and confident, because i had just flew alone! But when i arrived at the hostfamily, that feeling went away. I didn't feel welcome or comfortable there.. The only thing that maked me happy was that I met Luciana. I had been talking with her on Facebook for so many weeks, and i finally got to meet her :D She is from Argentina! After 30 mintes another girl arrived at the family. It was Amélie, from Switserland :) 

Monday july 8

On monday we had to be at school at 8 am. It was the first day, so i was a bit nervous. But is went all right :)  

This is a video of when i went in the school for the first time. There was a cool man welcoming us with his banjo! 

This day we got lots of information about the school, and other things we had to know about London. We also went out for a city walk and a boat trip.  I took these pictures:

After a long day, we got our schedule for the week. I am in level B2.3, so hopefully i will be at C after 3 weeks :) 

When we got home, i still didn't feel comfortable at the home. But it got even worse.. The house phone of the woman where we were staying wasn't working, and my mobile phone didn't do anything. There also wasn't wifi, so i coudn't use my laptop. I coudn't talk with anyone from outside, i coudn't even call my parents!

Tuesday july 9

This was a special day, because it was the birthday of one of my bestest friends; Tessa! Happy Birthday again :D 

Well, It was the first real school day. But my schedule is really easy, i just had 1 lesson at 5 pm! So i could do the whole day whatever i wanted haha. I walked through the beautiful city, and i loved it! 

Me and Amélie were together almost the whole day, she is really nice. Together we went to the accomodation office, to ask if it was possible to leave the hostfamily. After 1 day it was all arranged and we could go :) Now we are staying at the house of family friends. It is so much better here! 

I know this was only Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, but it's kinda late now, so i will write about the other days tomorrow :) Have a good night! or morning/ day/ evening/ (whatever it is where you are :p)
