9 days left!!

I am going to London in 9 days!! I am looking forward to all the things i have planned with my ef-friends :) It will be a great time.

This week i've started making a checklist, to make sure i won't forget things i have to bring to london! Do you know something i should definitely take with me? 

Friends before I've even arrived!

Heeello people! 

Since i planned my trip to EF London, i have been talking with lots and lots of people who will be there at the same time as me :) This is really cool, because when i am in London, i will already know lots of people.

This is possible because of Ef's site www.my.ef.com. When you've planned your trip with EF , you get your login-name and password for the site. At the site you can find out who will be at your destination when you're there too, invite them as a 'friend' and talk with them. There is also lots of information about your trip on this site, for example when your flight is going, who your hostfamily will be and much more. 

 It's like facebook for ef-students :)

I think it's really nice to talk with your new classmates before you go, so you already know them quit well. And because i already talk so much English every day (through the computer of course) , i see that my english has already improved, although i am not even in London yet! :) 

Today there are only 14 days left till i finally go! i am counting the days!

Summeranza '13 !!

I've reserved my ticket for Summeranza! It is a festival in London which is going to be at july 7th in Kempton Park. The main artist will be Sky Blue from LMFAO! There will also be a performance of The Luminites from Britain's got Talent. I have known them for quit a long time, because i discovered their amazing music on youtube. So i am very excited to see them live :) 

There will be different stages with performences, international dj's, restaurants and a bunch of other cool stuff to do! The day at summeranza will be amazing!

My experiences in Londen so far

So, this summer i am going to london, but it won't be the first time for me to go to that amazing city. I have been to london two times before.

The first time i was there was with christmas time in 2011. I went to London with my parents and little sister. We stayed there for 1 week. The city looked so beautiful with all the christmas lights and stuff! And really, i had never been to such a crowded department store in my whole life :O I am talking about 'Harrods'. Haha. The building looked wonderful with all the lights on it, but there were so many people! I guess they were all buying christmas presents :)  Probably my favourite place in london at that moment was Covent Garden. I loved all those little shops and restaurants. 

The second time i went to London was in mai 2012 with my lovely friend Fleur and my mom ;) And again i felt the amazing energy of the city! we stayed there for 3 days. Me and fleurs' favourite place was trafalgar square. We sat there on the statue with a hot chocolat from costa and the lovely sun on our faces :) Sitting there and looking at all the different people was just so relaxing. We were sad to go after 3 amazing days.

Luckily i dont have to wait very long till i go again: 22 dayssssss!!

Dus deze zomer ga ik naar Londen, maar het zal niet de eerste keer zijn dat ik naar die geweldige stad ga. I ben 2 keer eerder naar Londen geweest.

De eerste keer dat ik daar was, was met kerst 2011. Ik ging naar Londen met mijn ouders en zusje. We bleven daar voor 1 week. The stad zag er zo mooi uit met alle kerstlichtjes! En ik had serieus nog nooit zo'n druk warenhuis gezien in mijn hele leven :O Ik heb het over 'Harrods'. Haha. Het gebouw zag er zo mooi uit met alle lichtjes, maar er waren zo vele mensen! Ik denk dat ze allemaal kerstcadeautjes aan het kopen waren :) Mijn favoriete plek in Londen was toen waarschijnlijk Covent Garden. Ik vond al die kleine winkeltjes en restaurants super leuk.

The tweede keer toen ik naar Londen ging was in mei 2012 met mijn lieve vriendinnetje Fleur en mijn moeder :) En alweer voelde ik de energie van de stad! We bleven er 3 dagen. Toen was onze favoriete plek in Londen Trafalgar Square. We zaten daar op het standbeeld met een chocolade melk van Costa en de zon in ons gezicht. Het zitten daar en kijken naar al die verschillende mensen was zo rustgevend! We vonden het jammer om na die drie leuke dagen weer weg te gaan.

Gelukkig hoef ik niet lang meer te wachten tot ik weer ga: 22 dagennnnnn!!

Hello everyone who's reading my very first post on this blog! I have always wanted to make a blog and now it's the perfect time to start :) Because in a few weeks i am going to London! And i want to share all my experiences with my friends and family back home. It will be the first time for me to  travel on my own, so I'm a bit nervous about it, but very excited at the same time :) I am going to travel with EF, an organisation which has schools all over the world, where you can study languages. I am going to EF London to improve my English and to live the life as a real resident of London!

I will post short stories of the day, photos and videos on this blog during my time in London. But after my trip i would love to continue blogging. In those posts i will probably say something about music, travelling, thoughts, fashion or just random things that happened in my life.

Hallo iedereen die mijn eerste post leest op deze blog! Het leek me altijd al leuk om een blog te maken en nu  is het de perfecte tijd om te beginnen :) Ik ga namelijk over een paar weken naar Londen en ik wil graag al mijn ervaringen met mijn vrienden en familie in Nederland delen. Het is de eerste keer dat ik alleen reis, daarom ben ik wel een beetje nerveus, maar ik heb er ook heeeel erg veel zin in :) Ik reis met EF, een organisatie met scholen over de hele wereld , waar je talen kunt leren. Ik ga naar EF Londen om goed engels te leren en om te leven als een echte inwoner van Londen! 

Ik zal korte verhaaltjes van de dag, foto's en videos op mijn blog zetten wanneer ik in Londen ben. Maar na mijn reis wil ik graag doorgaan met bloggen. In die posts zal ik iets schrijven over muziek, reizen, gedachtes, mode of gewoon willekeurige dingen die ik meemaak.
