Music in the Subte, trying Mate and Dulce de Leche

I won't begin this post with saying sad things.. so I'll say: Germany has won the world cup! congratulations.
Argentina lost in the final :( but that also means that they are second! And most of the Argentinians here were really happy about that because it was the first time after 24 years they got through the quarter finals. The day after the match, the football players went back to Argentina and the people were waiting for them at the airport or at Av. nueve de Julio. It is near my school and it was so full of people.

My dad told me many times that I need to be really carefull with my things and myself because it is more 'dangerous' in here than in Europe. Of course it is a bit true, but I think it is more likely to die in  a traffic accident than being robbed! The traffic here scares me. All the cars and busses just go everywhere the want.
I'd rather take the Subte (the subway), it is way faster and it looks safer to me :p. And I really like that many people make music in the Subte. People do that in many coutries but here they don't only play in the metrostation but also in the metro. Here is a video of a guy playing piano in the Subte. Luciana, her brother Manuel and I just had lunch and were on our way home;)

My Argentinian friends made me try some typical argentinian food. For example Dulce de Leche, i loove it. They eat dulce de leche with everything! they make cakes with dulce de leche, ice cream of dulce de leche, dulce de leche with banana, dulce de leche pancakes, dulce de leche on toast, y mucho más!One of the nicest things they make with dulce de leche are Alfajores, a kind of cookie. When you go to the supermarket you can buy soo many different kinds of Dulce de Leche:

Another typical thing from Argentina is Mate. It is a drink. First I thought it was something similar to tea, but it's not. When watching the video you see that it looks different.  It is a social drink and with that I mean that most of the people only drink it with other people. The weirdest thing is that they all drink it from the same cup. The drink is called Mate because of the 'cup' you drink from is called 'Mate'. I am sorry Argentinians but I didn't really like mate..

If you know some Spanish speaking youtubers, you will have recognized the boy in this picture haha. It is Julián Serrano. Apparently he is also an actor in a play, that's why there was a big picture of him.
I watch too many youtubers, but mostly youtubers from the uk, usa or australia. Here I discovered a whole other 'youtube world' of spanish speaking people haha! so much fun
